Traffic Impact Statement (TIS)
Traffic Impact Statement (TIS) is to assess the impacts of a development on the transport network and identify reasonable solutions to address these impacts. Local Councils or Roads Authorities will ask for a Traffic Impact Assessment Report for most Development Applications where there is a need to assess the impact of the development on the surrounding road network.
Different states call the report by slightly different names, for example in WA it is known as a Traffic Impact Statement (TIS) whereas in VIC and NSW it is called a Traffic Impact Assessment (TIA) however all of the same information is required by each state.
